Welcome to Simmersdad.net, a site dedicated to Fishsim 2, still the best fishing simulator, despite being released way back in the year 2000!
Written by Jason (Jase) Spooner, the simulator is now freeware.
However, there is an opportunity to donate if you wish.
The original selling price was £20 and it's the best money I ever spent on software so you may consider donating.

Over 1500 venues have been made for Fishsim (at the time of writing) and all official venues can be downloaded from The SD Downer, the venues featured here are those that were created by Simmer or Simmers Dad.

Longleat

Longleat
Longleat was my first venue in June 2002 and was created with some help from Pash & Wilka.
There are three pegs with Carp, Common Bream, Crucian Carp, Perch, Roach & Tench present.
This is the first lake at Longleat and I believe that this is now a boating lake instead.

Blue Circle

My second venue in July 2020 was from a local cement works called Blue Circle. This has since been sold.
There are six pegs containing Carp, Common Bream, Crucian Carp, Eel, Grass Carp, Koi Carp, Perch, Rudd & Tench.

Daugters Lake
Shearwater

Shearwater is another part of the Longleat Estate and I created this 6 peg venue in June 2003. There four pegs from the main lake and two from “Little Shearwater”. Carp, Common Bream, Crucian Carp, Perch, Roach, Roch/Bream Hybrid, Rudd, Rudd/Bream Hybrid & Tench are present.

Dunorlan Lake

Dunorlan Lake is situated in Tunbridge Wells in Kent.
It’s worth reading the book on this one.
The pictures were supplied by Philip Carter and I created the venue for him in September 2003.
There are three pegs holding Carp, Common Bream, Eel, Gudgeon, Minnow, Pike, Roach, Rudd & Stickleback.

A second venue created by my son Ian. (Simmer). in June 2004.
Edneys consists of 6 pegs and lots of different species:
Carp, Ghost Carp, Leather Carp, Linear Carp & Mirror Carp plus Perch, Roach, Rudd & Tench.

The Trent & Mersey Canal
The Trent & Mersey Canal
Created in July 2006 and probably my best venue to date but not as easy as the others.
There are eight pegs here, taken whilst on a canal boat holiday.
Plenty of species, there are Carp, Chub, Common Bream, Dace, Eel, Gudgeon, Leather Carp, Mirror Carp, Perch, Pike, Roach, Rudd, Ruffe & Zander.

Turkish Delight

Not actually my venue but when Roy, Ozz & Antmaster started the create this venue in October 2005 they got a bit stuck and there was still a lot of work to do, to finish it.
The final work to get it up and running was completed by me so I dort of feel that it's partly mine. There are over 70 species spread over three pegs!

Cuckoos Rest

Just two pegs from the horseshoe lake at Cuckoos Rest, created in July 2010.
Stocks consist of Carp, Common Bream, Crucian Carp, Gudgeon, Minnow, MIrror Carp, Perch, Pike, Roach, Rudd & Tench.

A five peg river venue with pictures taken by Simmer.
This is my first river venue.
(June 2015)
Stocks are American Signal Cray Fish, Barbel, Brown Trout, Dace, Gudgeon, Chub, Perch, Pike, Tench & Wild Carp.

In 2003 Simmer started this venue but did not finish it.
In 2020, he picked up where he left off and completed it.
There are Carp, Common Bream, Eel, Leather Carp, Perch, Roach, Rudd & Tench present.

Rode Hill Fishery
Rode Hill FisheryRode Hill Fishery is close to us, just over the border into Somerset from Wiltshire. Simmer created this one after catching 17 carp in a half day session on the new lake.
Species present are Carp, Chub, Dace, Ghost Carp,
Leather Carp, Linear Carp, Mirror Carp, Perch, Roach & Tench.
